This is my new daily sketch journal! My goal is to do a drawing every day for 365 days to see how I improve. Sometimes I miss a day and that is okay; I get to experiment with finding a solutions to fill up every spot. I have made three other journals like this one before and they always end up being so special to me. I would recommend anyone to do this.
I set up a new section in this website's online gallery specially for this journal. I will keep it updated so you can check in on my progress!

...which turned out very well and I am very proud of it, so I thought I would share it with you. It is painted from a photograph taken by my mother's mother, whom I have always called my "Precious." It is of the backyard of the house where she lived during my childhood and still now, in Pennsylvania. She often expresses how much she admires this view and takes note of the changing skies, crops, weather, wildlife, and planets there. I included a bluebird for my mother, a barn owl for my grandfather, and a goldfinch because as a child captured one there in the yard. I have many happy memories there, and it was lovely to think back on them all while painting this piece. I delivered this painting to her and photographed it there. I am so glad that she loves it too...it is so whimsical.

I am so proud to finally announce the completion of this website. This special project took lots of time, learning, effort, creativity, persistence, and patience. I would also like to give a special thank you and shout out to my fellow artist Morganne Hodgson for her contributions and assistance in making this all possible.
